The first container train of Hebei Taitong Logistics Co., Ltd., started from Shijiazhuang, China, arrived at Kriyajiqi freight station in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on the 21st, which means that the "Shijiazhuang Minsk" China-Europe train transportation line was successfully opened.

The container train is the first China Europe train to depart from Shijiazhuang in early June and to Minsk via Manzhouli Port. The whole journey is about 9500km. The train carries 33 containers. After arriving at the destination, some containers will be directly transported to the Zhongbai Industrial Park, which is located in the suburb of Minsk.

The Secretary of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee and the Secretary of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee Xing Guohui, who came to Minsk to participate in the ceremony of the central European train meeting, stressed that the smooth opening of the "Shijiazhuang Minsk" China-Europe class is the embodiment of Shijiazhuang's response to the "One Belt and One Road" initiative and actively cooperating with the countries along the line. Shijiazhuang will further consolidate the normal operation of China EU trains and develop trade between the two countries.

According to Shilov, executive deputy general manager of Belarusian railway company, Belarus attaches great importance to railway transportation cooperation with China. Up to now,13 provinces in China have cooperated with the Belarusian railway department to carry out container train transportation business. The Belarus side plans to open a new transit port this year. It is expected that the number of China EU trains passing through Belarus will be increased to more than 4000.

According to the data released by Belarusian railway company, in 2017, there were more than 3000 China EU container trains passing through or directly to Belarus, transporting 245400 containers, grew up 74% compared with last year. This year, the company expects the volume of China EU liner container transportation through or through Belarus to increase by 30% to 300000.
