On May 24, 2022, the Belarusian Embassy in China held China-Belarus logistics business matchmaking conference online . The Belarusian Ambassador in China Yuri Schenko, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Transport and Information Lyahovich Alexei, Belarusian President of the  International Road Transport Association,Borovoi Nikolai, attended the meeting.

Belarus is one of the first countries to support the "Belt and Road" initiative, and is an important fulcrum for the implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative in the Eurasian region. Schenko said that the freight volume of China and Belarus is increasing year by year, and it is now necessary to find the best logistics solutions for the gradually increasing number of operators, freight routes and delivery mechanisms to meet the increasing freight transportation and demand. To make this reality, it is necessary to clearly understand the characteristics of Belarusian and Chinese carriers at this stage, so as to make further consideration in future work.

At present, China-Belarus bilateral relations have entered a new stage of development. In order to make the logistics enterprises of both sides more convenient to understand and promote the cooperation between the two enterprises, the Belarusian Embassy in China held an online meeting of China-Belarus logistics enterprises. The participating enterprises included Belarusian enterprises, Belintertrans, Jenty-spedition, Autopromsnab-spedition, Prima-trans, Ruzspedition, “Belarus Customs Service Company”, a unitary enterprise of the Republic of Belarus, and domestic Taitong International Transportation Co., Ltd., and other five well-known Chinese logistics companies. After the meeting, the enterprises of both parties will conduct in-depth negotiations, reach a cooperation intention, and sign a letter of intention or memorandum for cooperation.

This is a more targeted business matchmaking meeting, deepening the friendship between sister cities, making China and Belarus closer, improving the connotation and quality of exchanges, and expanding the depth and breadth of the two sides' participation in the "Belt and Road" initiative.
