Adhering to the mission of "facing the world and managing logistics well", Taitong International has been promoting continuous operation of "China-ASEAN freight trains" and speeding up the construction progress of customs supervision and operation sites. Its efficient and pragmatic working style is widely praised by people from all walks of life.

Since the launch of China-ASEAN international multimodal transport freight trains, the Consul General of Vietnam in Kunming has paid great attention to the project and introduced it to the Vietnamese Ambassador in China. Based on continued friendly exchanges, on September 23, Qiao Xiaolin, deputy director of development and reform committee of Hebei province, led Zhou Linwei, deputy secretary-general of Baoding government, Ji Hong, primary researcher of Asian and African office of Hebei provincial foreign affairs, Hu Shuguo, deputy director of foreign capital office of Hebei provincial development and reform committee, Pan Xi, primary section member of service office of Hebei provincial development and reform committee and Chu Xuan, chairman of Taitong international transport company and met with Vietnamese ambassador. Hebei delegation was warmly welcomed by ambassador Pham Sao Mai.

Director Qiao Xiaolin first stated the purpose of the visit. It was designed to enhance the understanding and interaction between Hebei province and Vietnam in the field of economy and trade, promote practical exchanges and cooperation in the field of connectivity. We would leverage on Baoding land port corridor (customs, freight train, etc.) to support and promote the trade between China and Vietnam.

And then, director Qiao introduced Beijing -Tianjin-Baoding international smart port (trains, national exhibition halls, etc.) and reported the operation in trial of “China-ASEAN international multimodal transport freight trains" on August 20th. Director Qiao hoped that ambassador would care about the project and support international customs clearance of freight trains in Vietnam and the construction approval and element guarantee for logistics park zone in Vietnam when everything was ready. He also invited import and export enterprises  from Vietnam and ASEAN countries to exhibit and sell their products at Beijing-Tianjin-Baoding international smart port. The northern part of China will be covered via Hebei province.

Pham Sao Mai, ambassador of Vietnam to China said that China and Vietnam enjoy a sound cooperative foundation. Both sides support global development of globalization and are important trading partners. We firmly believe that Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development area will become important for friendly cooperation between the two sides and further cooperation can be realized through the promotion of “Baoding -Hekou-Hanoi” business. The cooperation between Lao Cai and Hebei province will play a good demonstrative role and can be copied in other Vietnamese provinces. At present, land and rail routes in Vietnam are developing rapidly and transportation costs and logistics time are effectively compressed, which further supports the rapid flow of interconnected trade. After the pandemics, it is hoped that enterprises and governments of the two countries will visit each other and make a business trip to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei international smart port.

This meeting will help deepen trade exchanges between Hebei and Vietnam, strengthen economic interconnectivity and deepen cooperation among enterprises. It will surely promote the digitally economic belt building of “Belt and Road Initiative” in Hebei province and help the import and export trade in neighboring areas to move on to a new stage.
